Walt Disney Concert Hall

Behold the awe-inspring Walt Disney Concert Hall! Home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert hall opened its doors in 2003. Designed by one of the masters, Mr. Frank Gehry.

After checking out the "Art In The Streets" exhibit at the MOCA, I needed to make the trip up about 10 blocks to take photos of this beautiful building. It was extremely hot that day, we were hungry and I was still battling a bout of food poisoning. Needless to say, this shoot was rushed but it was still very inspiring!

Sounds of Minerva

One week ago, I had the rather special privilege to shoot portraits for a friend of mine and her new band. They are called Minerva and they are an up-and-coming Calgary band who described their sound as a sort or girl version of Jack Johnson. The band is composed of three members, Lauren, Jess & Leela, all of which have an extensive history of working together, so really this band is a long time coming! Each being great musicians in their own right, Minerva are a sort of super group, much like Them Crooked Vultures or Velvet Revolver, but way hotter! I got a chance to hear them sing during the shoot. They had the stones to sing A capella smack dab in the center of 17th Ave. SW and it was seriously amazing. I'm definitely excited to hear more from the girls and get my hands on a copy of their upcoming album.

The photo shoot was freaking brilliant; there were a lot of times where we'd all just start laughing our asses off which was not very professional but screw it! The weather was beautiful that day and the photos turned out really well. But seriously, I'd have to be pretty bad to screw up a shoot with three beautiful models. Thanks ladies for the opportunity and for helping me look good because obviously you didn't need any help! Special thank you goes to Chloe for being my most supportive assistant for the shoot, love you girl!

Ethnic Hammers Rule The World: Glamor Shots

I have some really good looking friends. No. Seriously. I would sleep with each and every one of them if it was socially acceptable. Actually, that's wrong. Haven't you seen the Jersey Shore?! They totally sleep around with each other! Well, then consider this my formal invite for sexual favors care of STV! There will be a screening process to ensure the spread of all VD's is at a minimum. Act now and receive a free Papa Burger Combo from participating A&W's...

Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Ethnic Hammers Rule The World: Action Jackson

Here are a series of action shots featuring the amazing Ethnic Hammers Slo-Pitch team!

Unfortunately the team didn't bring home the gold this Spring. A good majority of the team members skipped town during the first round of the playoffs to attend a Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Las Vegas and it ended in a first round loss and the end of a remarkable undefeated streak. These photos were taken during the third place final, which the team won handily!

Great season Hammers!

Keep posted for the second part of this post!

Welcome to Neverland

After a strong four days in the Most Magical Place on Earth for the inebriated, a last minute trip to Disneyland was a welcomed change of pace. My life altering case of food poisoning had finally decided to pass for good and I was ready to stand in lines for hours and hit up some awesome rides! Churros were a plenty, laughs & smiles were abound and my eyes were skimming for photo subjects! Unfortunately, I was sane enough to leave the 5D Mark II at home, so I opted for the iPhone and Camera+ app to capture all the magic! I'm definitely feeling slide film and cross processing lately; good thing there's an app for that! Enjoy!
